Physical description

Stirrup spout effigy blackware bottle in the form of a seated human figure. The figure is holding an object in each hand below the chin and is wearing a headdress that consists of a head band with a monkey head at the centre front with a semi-circular vertical ornament. The stirrup spout is attached at the back of the figure's head and lower back, and a single vertical cylindrical spout extends up from the top of the stirrup's curve. The figure's garment has bands of circular depressions, possibly excised for inlays that are no longer attached. The headdress ornament and spout are missing and have been reconstructed with what looks like a plaster compound. The spout has been painted black to match the bottle, and the ornament has been left unpainted, a beige colour with a light brown centre and a band of smaller light brown circles around the edge of the ornament. There is a small piece missing from below the figure's right hand.
