No loose threads for identification of fiber. Spin or ply, silk-like taffeta(?), balanced plain weave, cut and sewn to form shaped cap, lining edge is machine sewn. Patterned with laid and couched three-strand metal filaments, pearls(?), and sequins attached by running stitches.
Physical description
Blue-green brimless cap with a circular crown and straight vertical rim, lined and elaborately embroidered with silver filament, pearls(?) and silver sequins. Crown is patterned with four teardrop shapes made of looping metallic filament and pearls (?), four circular patterns of scrolls and pearls (?), and is bordered by a row of sequins. The rim is embroidered with a row of upright cones, pearls (?), and looped filler pattern and is bordered with a row of sequins.
