Kigusiuq, Janet (1926 - 2005)

Born in the Back River, Gary Lake area, north of Baker Lake. Her family moved to Baker Lake in the 1960s. The eldest daughter of Jessie Oonark, she got started as an artist in the 1970s. She worked in drawing, printmaking, sculpture and textiles.
