Marikulu

Marikulu's name was Angiut, nicknamed Angiutinaaq due to her small size (the 'naaq' suffix refers to something small in the Arviat dialect). Originally from Arviat, she later lived in Igluligaarjuk (Chesterfield Inlet) at the hospital run by the 'Grey Nuns' (Roman Catholic). The hospital took in Inuit who were infirm. She lived there until it closed, then returned to live in Arviat until her death.
