Starostin, Mikhail

Mikhail Starostin trained under famed artist Yuriy Votyakov, and is known for his etchings, oil paintings and book illustrations. An instructor at the Arctic State Institute of Culture and Arts, he studied at the Yakutsk Art School (1973-1977) and in 1990 graduated from the faculty of Industrial Graphic Arts at Krasnoyarsk Art Institute. A native of Khandiga, Yakutiya (Russia), he has been a member of the Russian Union of Artists since 1991.
