Thomas, Roy (1949 - 2004)

Roy Thomas was an Anishinaabe-born artist who resided in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Thomas devoted a great deal of time learning about the ways of his people, their teachings and the ways of nature, in spite of being sent to residential school. He was mainly a self-taught artist, becoming one of the painters in the 'Woodland School'.
