Red polished III Ware; Middle Cypriot I-II
Physical description
Spouted jug. Cream fine-grained clay with a dark red slip. White filling in incised decoration. Hemispherical shaped body, tall cylindrical neck terminating at a cut-away mouth. A pierced lug is found at junction of neck and body opposite handle. Vertical twisted handle extends from body to neck below mouth. From the lug a vertical relief band decorated with incised lines extends along body. On neck are four groups of five encircling grooves. On body there are vertical zigzag bands consisting of a row of short strokes framed by lines.
