History of use

Inscribed and sealed tablet from ancient Mesopotamia dating to the Third Dynasty of Ur (2112-2004 BC). The tablet records an allocation of labour for agricultural work maintaining a reservoir and field. The text is dated the 9th year of the reign of King Amar-Suen. The seal inscription on the tablet is illegible.

This tablet appears in an article, in Vol. 8 1990 Annual Review of the Royal Inscriptions of Mesopotamia Project- “Cuneiform Texts at the University of British Columbia” (by C.A. Peters & D.R. Frayne; Toronto, p. 56-59).
