History of use
Normal size circulating coin. Issued just after the Sanfan Rebellion, primarily to pay troops.
Physical description
Round coin with a four-sided hole in the centre, and a rim around the outer edge and the centre hole. The obverse has four characters, and the reverse has two characters. Kangxi tongbao (top-bottom right left) in Chinese characters are on the obverse; yun left in Manchu, yun right in Chinese (mintmark) are on the reverse. Extra metal is inside the centre hole; fields are rough.
