Physical description
Byzantine coin of Phocas, 602-610. Obverse: bust of Phocas, facing front, with consular robes and crown with cross; to left, he holds a mappa; to right, he holds a cross; to left, inscription says ‘FOCA’; to right, ‘SPER’. Reverse: large ‘XX’ with a pellet between them; to left, star; to right, ‘E’; above, cross; in exergue, ‘KRTϚ’.
