Physical description

Byzantine coin of Anastasius I, 491-518. Obverse: bust of Anastasius I, facing right, with diadem, cuirass, and paludamentum; to the left, inscription says 'DNANAS[TA]'; to the right, '[SIV]SPPAVC'. Reverse: large 'K'; to left, a cross; to right, possibly 'A'; above and beneath, stars.
