SS Glad Tidings Crossing Wrights Sound
About this object
Narrative
The S.S. Glad Tidings was a Methodist mission vessel launched in 1884 by Thomas Crosby. It sailed from Victoria up the B.C. coast to Port Simpson from 1884 until 1903 when it sank. Wright’s Sound is on the Inside Passage along the northern coast of British Columbia. The drawing is in very poor condition now, however there is a B&W photograph of the drawing in the MOA Archives (Crosby collection photographs) taken when it was in good condition.
