Model Totem Pole

About this object

Narrative

The collector had listed this pole as being from Bella Coola, circa 1903. The style of the faces suggests a Tsimshian carver, however it was discovered to have been carved by a Haida artist, Mark Spence. The provenance of the pole before collected by Bevan Cross is unknown.
