Made to be worn by an official of middle rank.
Physical description
Red robe with roundels. The robe has a round neck, long wide sleeves and side opening with brass frog closures. Around the neck and cuffs is a border of printed pattern with the Eight Buddhist symbols of good fortune and peony motifs on dark blue ground, trimmed with gold braid. On the front and back are large roundels containing the same printed pattern on red ground. The bottom has mountain and wave motifs with symbols of wealth and fortune (pearl, scroll, rectangular gold ornament, circular gold ornament, swastika). The inside lining is blue damask silk containing floral motifs.
