Relief carving of two pheasants, one with a long tail and one with a shorter tail, both perched in a magnolia tree with red and off-white blooms and a black trunk. The border is dark red lacquer with inset cartouches, each with painted birds and flowers on a coloured background (alternating between bright red, dark red, and dark grey-blue).
