History of use
Jar (ezéé) used to transport and store water, and also ferment beer. This type of jar can also be used in specific religious or cultural ceremonies as part of an assemblage of objects placed in a shrine. These jars are usually made by women who create a variety of other vessels that they embellish with colours, designs, and motifs before firing them at low temperatures.
Physical description
Large, round, hand-built pot with black burn mark on side and a painted reddish-brown circle near rim; very small mouth. Large break on one side has been roughly glued together.
