A ninety-six page colour comic book titled 'The Sons of Rama'. 'AMAR CHITRA KATHA DIGEST Vol. 503'. Published in 1992 by H. G. Mirchandani, for India Book House Pvt. Ltd. and edited by Anant Pai with art done by Pratap Mulick. The work is about the story of Queen Sita's banishment by her husband, Rama of Ayodhya, because of his people's (a launderer) concerns about her purity after her abduction by Ravana. Sita gives birth to her twin sons, Luv and Kusha, who are educated by Maharshi Valmiki. In the Ashwamedha Yajna ceremony, Rama releases a horse that has a gold leaf on its forehead that states that anyone holding the horse will have to fight. Luv and Kusha hold the horse and fight for it. Rama faints in front of his sons when he learns from them that their mother is Sita. Luv and Kusha tie up Hanuman. The royal family reunites but Sita returns to mother Earth to proove her purity after the humiliation of Rama not taking her back. Rama returns to his kingdom with his children.
