Carried by Qaqakyalalh, a dancer who 'decapitates' people.

Narrative

J. Dick said this had belonged to Bob Robertson, of Kingcome. However D. Hawkins (in 1966) said it was not from Kingcome as their Qaqakyalalh carried only branches, not carved masks.

Physical description

Brown wood skull face is painted black and red on white with brown bear hide hair covering the back. The closed eyes are indicated by an inverted u curved red line with black brows above. Three vertical red lines are along each cheek. There is a red mouth and a black moustache. Has a prominent nose and chin. Underneath the chin, there is a wood loop attached with metal nails.
