Narrative
Was part of an exhibit at the UBC Art Gallery in 1973. Card says: "Padrino y chigul: pide la novia y despues actua como padrino en la boda." Translation: "Padrino y chigul: he asks for the hand of the bride and later acts like a godfather in the wedding ceremony."
Physical description
White painted and burned face mask with broad-toothed smile and a protruding nose. Upraised brows with small slit eyes cut out very high on the face. Cord string at back for hanging.
