Iconographic meaning
Miyal Halmi is the wife of the dirty old nobleman. She goes looking for her husband and gets so hungry that she digs up the roots of the arrowroot and other plants and eats them.
This gives her an allergic reaction that causes pimples to break out all over her face.
Specific techniques
Physical description
Mask of Miyal Halmi (a spiteful grandmother) character. Round brown coloured face with white dots overall. White eyes, black eyebrows with white strips, bulbous nose and cheek bones, and red mouth. A black cloth covering and ties are attached to the back of the mask and hang down. Mask backing is yellow and has a white label with printed red characters to one side.
