Physical description
Byzantine coin of Justin II, 565-578. Obverse: Justin II, on left, and Sophia, on right, both enthroned; there is a cross between their heads; each has placed their right hand on their knee; to left and right, inscriptions are illegible; in exergue, ‘VITA’. Reverse: two winged Victories stand facing each other, holding a shield with a star between them; beneath shield, there is a large ‘K’.
