Swan Drum

Series 46/50. From Box Set I, a portfolio of nine original limited edition serigraphs by Coast Salish artists. Commissioned by the Salish Weave Collection between 2004 and 2008.

Silkscreen print on white paper. The central round design is based on a painted drum, showing the profile view of a floating white swan, with a round human face in brown and tan set into its torso. The background is mottled tan and grey-brown, with a line of blue waves crossing at centre and a brown line with tan triangle motifs above. The image is surrounded by thin borders of white and brown.
