Thunderbird Paddle

Series 46/50. From Box Set I, a portfolio of nine original limited edition serigraphs by Coast Salish artists. Commissioned by the Salish Weave Collection between 2004 and 2008.

The central, round artwork takes its imagery from spindle whorl and paddle designs.

Silkscreen print on white paper. The central, round artwork shows two thunderbirds in black and green face each other, beaks raised, talons touching at centre bottom. Between them is a red and black motif of a circle inside a round-bottomed triangle. The design is surrounded by a red border.
