Paper in shape of canoe prow; black border at top and at side on right; ovoid at bend in prow with circle at base on right; eye ovoid has interior crescent-like shape; split u forms with crosshatching on either side of ovoid; u form at front of prow has three groups of parallel horizontal lines. Five areas of rough paper at side on right; patches of dirt and red staining over surface; general grime; paper folded vertically through ovoids; cut at bottom corner on left; blue wax crayon scribbles along base beneath paint. On reverse, rough sketch of Haida village behind UBC Museum of Anthropology, in brown wax crayon; paper pitted at side on right.
