History of use
Ladles and spoons were common eating and serving implements on the Northwest Coast. Horn spoons, especially the elaborately carved ones were used at ceremonial feasts.

Physical description
A very dark brown to black, curved, L-shaped spoon with a wide oval bowl and a tapering handle that is scooped out, continuing from the bowl for one quarter while the major portion is rounded with a tapering tip. Exterior surface is convex with a slight ridge at the centre, longitudinally.
