Rank Badge

Rectangular badge with a bird and surrounding border in metallic thread with a white paper frame. The bird is a silver pheasant, denoting a civil fifth rank official. The pheasant is silver with five scalloped tail feathers. It is adhered in the centre, standing on one leg and facing right with head raised towards the red sun. The background has large red and green clouds over rolling red and green hills. Around the edges of the badge is a thick gold meander border. The badge is was made in two pieces, divided down the centre. The two pieces are now held together by the paper frame folded twice over the edges of the badge.
