This set of drawings, prints, etc. (3030/1-25) illustrates the design and production of a logo commissioned by the donor for the XIII International Seaweed Symposium, held at UBC in 1989. The artist was chosen in late 1987. Adkins researched kelp and made the first sketch. The design process for the logo and print run continued until June 1989. In July 1989 400 prints were made, with the best 285 chosen for the limited edition: 250 for the edition, 25 artist proofs and 10 dedication prints for presentation at the symposium.
