Physical description

Painting on paper of five decorated dogwood flowers and three maple leaves; done in three rows of three, three and two. Shapes are (from left to right, top to bottom): dogwood with peace canoe, dogwood with thunderbird, dogwood with warriors' canoe, dogwood with peace canoe, maple leaf with peace canoe, dogwood with war canoe, maple leaf with war canoe, and maple leaf with war canoe. All peace and war canoes have passengers wearing a variety of garments and in different poses; positions include paddling, holding a spear, drumming, and holding a copper. Warriors' canoe is empty; thunderbird design is of a head shown in profile. The dogwoods and maple leaves have either "B.C.", "British Columbia" or "CANADA" written inside them. All components are decorated with formline design elements; done in black, orange, maroon, gold, dark brown, light blue, red, and light green. Design names written under each shape and artist signature in bottom right corner.
