History of use
Wet black tobacco is shredded, rolled into newspaper as a cigarette, and one end is held in the single hole of the fofongu (pipe). The exposed end is lit and the smoker inhales through the mouth placed over the other end of the pipe.
Physical description
Bamboo pipe, closed off naturally at one end, with a perforated filter inset in the other. A stylized zigzag pattern has been burned into the bamboo. A single hole has been bored into one side, near the closed off end.
