Said to have been collected by Donald MacKay while he was the Indian Commissioner for BC, 1937-1948.

Physical description

Carved argillite, miniature totem pole with flat back. The pole is rectangular in shape with a slight taper at the top and is seated on a rectangular base. The figures from top to bottom: eagle with a salmon in its talons; raven with a salmon in its mouth and its tail feathers curled under; sea bear its tail fin curled under and resting under its mouth.
