Percy F. Broughton is thought to have collected this artifact while he served as a missionary with the Church Missionary Society, in Lake Harbour on Baffin Island, from 1911-1912.

Small carving of a seal. The animal has two large flippers extended at the back with a small triangular tail carved between them. Two fore flippers protrude to either side near the ventral front. The head is small and contains no discernable features.
