Narrative
The donor purchased the pottery from the owners in Mexico City in 1981-83. In 1982 he found similar examples being sold in the market in Atlacomulco. Made as domestic ware.
Physical description
Undecorated cooking pot with two loop handles on opposite edges. The bowl is deep, and the interior shows the swirls of brush strokes. One handle and side are darkened from use. Side stamped with maker's mark of a sun design. The interior and rim are glazed.
