Round, 4-sided hole in centre, rims around outer edge and centre hole, obverse 4 characters, crescent on reverse. Kaiyuan tongbao (top-bottom-right-left) in Chinese characters, dot (bottom-right) on obverse; crescent (top) on reverse. Nick and extra metal in centre rim.
