Coin, round, with a four-sided hole at the centre, a rim around the outer edge and the centre hole. The obverse has four characters, and the reverse has two characters. Hongwu tongbao (top-bottom-right-left) in Chinese characters on obverse; jing top (mintmark), shi right (value 10) in Chinese characters on reverse. Rim pits, flaws; scratches; rims rounded.
