Series 46/50. From Box Set II, a portfolio of eight original limited edition serigraphs and one intaglio etching (chiné collé) by Coast Salish artists. Commissioned by the Salish Weave Collection between 2008 and 2010.
Physical description
Silkscreen print on light tan paper. The central, round artwork depicts the legend of the two creatures. The large black head of the thunderbird protrudes into the centre of the circle, the beak tip sharply hooked. Below is the killer whale’s tail, amongst swirling lines. Brown circles sit above and below the bird, as well as to the left of the whale’s tail.
