Skirt Border Loom

Bought from Benita Guttierrez Garcia in Chinchero in May, 1984. Woven by Benita who is a professional weaver and sells her weavings to other villagers and tourists.

Long, rectangular skirt border loom with black squares on a dark red ground. Dark red skein of yarn attached to weaving. Unwoven section of white and red wool including the area with heddles is quite tangled.
