Basket

Round, brown basket with a flat bottom and flared sides. Base is made from a circular birch bark panel with a white, green and pink leaf design of porcupine quills in the centre. Two bands of coiled sweet grass with a single band of zigzagging open work between them comprise the sides; coiled sweet grass sides are all stitched with black thread.
