According to Sto:lo basket maker Frieda George the butterfly designs on this basket represent everlasting life.

Tray with handles constructed of simple coilwork (bifurcated stitches), with watch-spring construction, and an overcast rim and handles. Decorated with partial imbrication in red/white/black in an abstract pattern composed of arched lines. The rim is beaded with red and black cherry bark.
