Snuff Box

Snuff box. Inscribed with the year of the Reformed Gregorian Calendar, 1582 on the top and the year 1492 on the underside of the base.

A note inside the box said: Die Dose dies draagt In Zyn Sak heeft Nooyt Geen ander almanak. (The one who carries this box in his pocket needs never another almanac.)

Snuff box with an elongated oval shape and a hinged lid. Inscribed with the Reformed Gregorian Calendar, which is represented by a table of numbers and months on both the lid and bottom of the base, and there are two figures depicted on either end on the lid as well as another figure on the bottom of the base.
