About this object

Narrative

The animal on the bracelet was said to be a deep-sea frog design according to Robert Davidson, after discussion with a Haida elder (see A8094 for similar design).

Physical description

Silver bracelet consisting of deep-sea frog design with areas of fine crosshatching. Bracelet tapers slightly to closure, which comprises of two small hook clasps that fit into corresponding slots; edges are rolled. Surface engraved with animal face and body parts. Large mouth with teeth has tongue extended. Thick metal rails run along both edges.
