Physical description
Standing Kachina figure with fur and fanned feather headdress; black head with protruding eyes and a snake wrapped around its face; large red ears with feathers inserted at centre of each; a mouth with red lips and white triangular teeth; a red leather tongue; a yarn and feather fringe around its neck and blue yarn tied around one wrist with a leather and shell ? cuff on the other wrist; brown suede cuffs on upper arms and ankles; brown suede bags with white shells (shell pasta painted white ?) hanging on each side of its torso, and a pouch with a fringe and pieces of white shell (also shell pasta ?) hanging from its hip; skirt is brown with a black and white geometric design and a multicolour banded border; each leg has a black oval with a white border, and the figure is wearing brown boots with white soles. The figure also has a black, red, white and yellow tail. Five long, skinny pieces of plant fibre are meant to be held by the figure, but are not attached.
