Carving

Physical description

Carving consisting of five bird-like figures in a tangle. The lowest bird has two long limbs, one of which appears to be an adze, and the other a human-like leg, both of which rest on the rounded oblong base. The bird is smoking a water pipe and has its left wing lifted. The other figure standing on the base with its one limb has a bird-like body, and a human-like face that lacks a beak. The next level has another bird smoking a water pipe on the back of the lower bird doing the same, and the other bird stands on its one leg with a ceramic pot on its head. The top creature stands on the head of the human-like head of the bottom bird. This figure has two human-like breasts, which are etched with the same designs as the rest of the bird bodies, and has one wing and one human-like arm which extends to the pot resting on the other figure's head. There is a small piece of clear tape with '102' written in black felt at the back of the figure's base. The carving is attached to a rectangular wood base by two screws.
