Image involved in some way with the popular Indian religious print industry. Religious prints have been published for nearly a century, first by German presses, later by Indian ones. They are based on German images such as this one and may take the form of calendars, posters, or simply images.

Physical description

Rectangular shaped print depicting a standing female with long dark brown, curly hair; only hips to head shown. She has hand on right raised and resting on top of head; hand on left placed on hip. Portrayed in European, 19th century style of softened lines, smooth skin, and voluptuousness. Female wears a green, sleeveless dress with a white veil laid across bodice and wrapped over upper arms; gold headband with two large purple flowers, one on each side above ears; gold and jeweled necklace. Dark green background. Majority of print's straight edges have been torn away giving print uneven height and width. Paper backing.
