Physical description
Byzantine coin of Anastasius I, 491-518. Obverse: bust of Anastasius I, facing right, with diadem, cuirass, and paludamentum; to the left, inscription says 'DNANASTA'; to the right, 'SIVSPPAVC'. Reverse: large 'M'; to left and right, stars; above, cross; in exergue, ‘CON’; officina mark is illegible.
