Physical description

Byzantine coin of Anastasius I, 491-518. Obverse: bust of Anastasius I, facing right, with diadem, cuirass, and paludamentum; to the left, inscription is illegible; to the right, it says '[SIV]SPPAV[C]'. Reverse: large 'M'; to left, star; above, cross; beneath, 'E'; in exergue, ‘CON’.
