Narrative

On the reverse side is writing, and a translation of the image: "By Nour to the Shah [underlined] I write this under instructions of Sheikh Mohammad Bahreh, may God forgive all his sins. The vestivents of a king only looks well when you wear them. The crown of the kings reserves its glory for you. You know the desires of each subject and there are no secrets unknown to you."

Physical description

Single sheet of calligraphy. The text is on a diagonal, in large and small writing, surrounded by brown background that follows the shape of the writing all on a gold background. This is framed by a dark blue border with a gold floral pattern. A dark blue triangle with writing and a floral motif appears in the upper right corner of the border. Two white-brownish bands with gold floral patterns appear beside the sides of the previous blue border. On the other side of these, an orange, brown, and gold strip appears. Writing appears above the image. On the reverse side, there is writing and a translation of the image.
