Whaler's Hat
Physical description
Woven whaler's style hat. Hat is conical in shape, narrowing toward top where it flares out into a small round dome with a pointed top. Aniline dye is used to create designs of the whale hunt, showing boats holding fishermen and harpoons aimed at large whales. Further decoration includes encircling lines of linear motifs. The inner head ring is made of woven cedar bark.
