Helmet headdress.

Physical description

Painted grouse headdress with an attached protruding beak and a large opening under the beak. To either side of the opening are three carved sections, painted red, green and white. The cheek area is green with white dots along the edge and three half circles at the sides. The beak and area surrounding the eyes is brown. The eyes are white with round black centres. Two black arches extend over the eyes. There is a red band with white and black dots at the top of the headdress. Below the red band is a white band that dips in the centre. Twigs visible above the headdress are attached to the back of the mask with metal wire and fibres. (Similar to A8099).
