Eagle Nest

Series 46/50. From Box Set II, a portfolio of eight original limited edition serigraphs and one intaglio etching (chiné collé) by Coast Salish artists. Commissioned by the Salish Weave Collection between 2008 and 2010.

Silkscreen print on white paper. The central, round artwork shows stylized images of a large mother bird, beak open, feeding 3 chicks. One chick holds beak wide to receive the blue ring in the centre of the image, while the other two have beaks closed. All feature enormous round eyes. A border in shades of blue and blue-grey encircles the image.
