Poncho

Worn as a cape or jacket on top of a shirt, belt and pants.

This poncho was made in a small village outside Chavin, called Rancas. It was made by Elizabeth Huamas' mother, Colina Fonseca.

Worn by men

Square, brown hand-woven brown wool poncho with brown cotton edging. The design consists of repeating bands of light brown solid stripes. There’s a slit neck opening in the centre.
